Community, Connection, Celebration

EnChor East is a four-voiced (SATB) community choir of 40-50 voices, drawing members from throughout the Halifax Regional Municipality. EnChor East meets Tuesday evenings at Bedford Baptist Church from September to May.

The group has built a respected reputation supported by their appreciative audiences since 1982. The choir rehearses weekly to present a varied repertoire of classical, contemporary and folk pieces, typically over two concerts per season. These are traditionally performed at Christmas, and a spring season finale. We also participate in mass choir events.

We are a SATB community choir, under the direction of Krista Vincent. Rehearsals take place every Tuesday night, 7:15pm at Bedford Bapist Church. This year we are featuring the Vivaldi Gloria at our spring concert and would like to recruit a few more tenor and bass voices to really round out our sound!

We offer community concerts, workshops with guest clinicians, guest collaborations and a choral scholar program.
